The Wolfhound is a neighborhood Irish bar in Astoria Queens, NYC. We serve lots of Guinness and domestic beers, but also a killer rotating selection of craft beer. Our pub grub kitchen is open daily until 11pm. We pack the calendar with weekend events – live music, DJ parties, and more. Trivia on Wednesdays. Rocking since August 2016.

Wolfhound for the big dogs
Went to Wolfhound on a Tuesday afternoon and sat outside at first. The manager Matt came by and told us we were welcome to go inside, including my 2 year old Great Dane, Wilson. We made our was towards the back and grabbed a high top and some beers. Wilson was super comfortable, sprawled out and even blocking the way sometimes but everyone was gracious and entertaining. Matt even came over and sat on the ground playing with Willie.
Wolfhound does get super busy some nights, as most bars do. Personally, I wouldn’t take my dog to a busy bar night anywhere with bigger crowds, live music, etc. That being said, super great option for a drink or snack in Astoria and more awesome knowing its dog friendly inside.
